Moisture-resistant gypsum blocks are a lightweight wall material made from architectural gypsum, primarily used for interior partition walls. They offer fire resistance, sound insulation, humidity regulation, and eco-friendliness; during installation, they do not require plastering and allow for the direct application of joint compound or skim coat.

Xuhai moisture-resistant gypsum blocks offer the following advantages:
1. **Fire Safety:** Gypsum contains chemically bound water that evaporates and absorbs heat when exposed to high temperatures; a 100mm-thick wall offers a fire resistance rating exceeding 3 hours without emitting toxic gases.
2. **Humidity Regulation:** The wall features a microporous structure that “breathes”—absorbing moisture when the air is humid and releasing it when dry. With a moisture storage capacity of 7–17g/m², it creates a more comfortable indoor environment.
3. **Rapid Construction:** Utilizing a dry-construction method with a tongue-and-groove interlocking system, workers can install over 20 square meters per day. The resulting wall surface is smooth and level, eliminating the need for plastering or leveling—finishing paint can be applied directly.
4. **Lightweight and Eco-friendly:** Weighing only one-third to one-half as much as clay bricks, they reduce the structural load on the building. They are made primarily from industrial by-product gypsum and are non-toxic and odorless.
5、
xuhai moisture-proof gypsum bricks contain abundant crystalline water. During a fire, the evaporation of this water forms a protective layer on the wall, with their temperature remaining stable between 60-120°C for extended periods, effectively preventing the spread of flames. It produces no toxic substances or combustion gases during the burning process, ensuring outstanding fire safety performance.
In the national fire resistance test, 150 was burned at temperatures exceeding 1000°C for 3 hours, with all non-combustible surfaces maintaining temperatures below 63°C.
6、
Using xuhai moisture-proof gypsum bricks instead of traditional brick walls can reduce the load on buildings and enhance their earthquake resistance.
The National Earthquake Engineering Research Center successfully simulated a 7.0-magnitude earthquake exceeding the 1992 Jiji Great Earthquake, testing 10 cm and 15 cm thick xuhai moisture-proof gypsum walls. No cracks or damage were observed after the earthquake.
